Zack MacLeod Pinsent

Zack MacLeod Pinsent is a young British man who loves wearing period clothing. With an interest in historical clothing from a very young age, he finally gave up contemporary clothing at age 18 and started to wear only duds that he made himself, mostly by hand, eventually branching out into his own bespoke tailoring business which creates period clothing for both men and women in Brighton, UK.

Zack enjoys researching historical periods and does most of the tailoring by hand.

Showing Promise

Now that we're into September and families are getting back into the arena and onto the ice for hockey, ringette, curling and figure skating, it's a good time to watch and be inspired by this video of Alexander Plushenko, 6-year old son of men's figure skating champion, Evgeni Plushenko. How much do you want to bet that ballet dancing figures into his off-ice training?

Everyone Can Dance

Haha! Were you paying attention during the controversy over Prince George and his ballet lessons? How ridiculous imho! Kids, royal or not, should be encouraged in any sort of physical activity and if there's a lesson to go along with it, all the better. With very young children, it's not so much about which activity they do, but the benefit of engagement with listening, following instructions and being with people they don't know all that well. And above all, having fun!

I've had dance videos on this blog before because I seem to be drawn to them and of course, I like sharing. :)

This boogie-woogie by Bianca and Nils from 2017 proves that both women and men can dance. Enjoy!

What about younger dancers?

Keep on dancing into old age: Nellia and Dietmar are 63 and 73.
