Did Not Read - too gory! |
DNR |
Did not finish. Disappointed that 130 pages in I couldn't get interested. Moved on to other books in the queue
Didn't finish this: it was due at the library and I wasn't getting into it
I did not finish this book: normally I enjoy
Michael Connelly whodunits but this one
didn't capture my interest and
there are a lot of other books on my shelf
I did not finish this book. I found it irritating, with no quotation marks.
Another novel without quotation marks, but I did soldier through.

Gaaaah! Chick Lit :(
Did not finish this book. Lots of people really love this book,
but the writing style wasn't for me.

Great story, but read Robson's Somewhere in France first)

This is Christian lit. I read the previous books in the series quite a few years ago and now Karon has come out with the first new one in 5 years so I had to catch up on what Father Tim, a retired Episcopalian minister and his wife Cynthia are up to. They live in a small village in rural North Carolina - the southwest part of the state in the Great Smoky Mountains. Father Tim has a way of active listening that is inspiring and Karon has him saying prayers that are quite wonderful. But don't read it if this isn't your " thing" !
Second reading of this excellent book for a book club meeting next week.
April
12 Rose Street, Gail Bowen
*Everything I Never Told You, Celeste Ng
The Great Calamitous Tale of Johan Thoms: How One Man Scorched the Twentieth Century but Didn't Mean to, Ian Thornton

Republic of Dirt, Susan Juby

Republic of Dirt, Susan Juby
A Dangerous Place, Jacqueline Winspear
The Broken Hours, Jacqueline Baker
Consumed, David Cronenberg
This book is back on the shelf not having been read. By the time I was 80 or so pages in I came to understand that this book just wasn't interesting, so I put it aside in favour of the many others on my to-read list.
The Boundless, Kenneth Oppel
Dead Wake, Erik Larson
At the Water's Edge, Sara Gruen
The Little Old Lady Who Broke All the Rules, Catharina Ingelman Sundberg
Orphan Train, Christina Baker Kline

I've read this before, but I needed to refresh my memory in order to read Ransom Rigg's next book in the series, Hollow City.
June
I confess I didn't finish All My Puny Sorrows. The subject matter was too sad.
