We were so fortunate to catch this on video! She worked all day "labouring" the egg sac out. I also found out that even though there isn't a male in the enclosure with her, that the egg sac may still be fertilized if she mated with a male before we caught her. She laid her third egg sac this week so we may be looking at almost a thousand baby praying mantids in the spring!
